Privacy Policy

Plain Language Overview

At The Live Network Inc. (TLN), we take privacy very seriously. Many of us who work here were concerned about privacy and ethical data usage long before it was in the news. To that end, this Privacy Policy and our associated documents spell out how we collect and use data when you visit one of our sites. The short version is that we use such data to provide the services that you are seeking, optimize the services that you are seeking, and let you know about other services that might be relevant to you. Some of this we do on our own sites and some of this we do through common marketing platforms that have their own safeguards in place. Our data practices are directly in line with the services that we offer in the domains of mental health, education, prevention, and treatment. We want to do the right thing and we actively work at it. If you ever have any concerns in this area, please bring them to our attention and we will take them seriously.

Other Technologies and Service Providers

In order to improve our Site, we are presently using Google Analytics to collect data for statistical reporting purposes. Google Analytics analyzes the use of the Site to collect and generate information that is transmitted to their servers in an anonymous form for processing.

Strong Encryption and Legislative Compliance

Your personal information is stored on Canadian-located servers hosted by IBM/Softlayer and backed up by servers in a different Canadian location.  Information about IBM/Softlayers’ compliance with industry standards for privacy and security is described here: https://www.ibm.com/cloud/compliance

Your personal information may be transferred outside of Canada by our trusted service providers, and may be accessible to law enforcement or other authorities.  You can contact us to request information on the precise jurisdictions to which your personal information may be transferred.
